Taking Lecture Notes


What is note taking ?


- writing down ideas and information from lectures and readings in our own word.

Why take notes ?



1    1 )      Give More Attention In Class
      2)      Get Ready For Quiz, Test And Final Exam
      3)      Boost Our Memory
      4)      Help Us To Take Ownership Of Ideas
      5)      Engage Our Senses
      6)      Help Us To Organize And Process Data And Information
      7)      Help The Lecture Test Student On How Well They Captured The Given Information


WHAT WE SHOULD DO ?

     -Seat near to the front and center to have better vision and
        hearing. 
    - Avoid distraction near to doorways , windows and peers.

How do we take notes ?
          
                                  

  • Date and label the notes .
  • Give ourselves space to write .
  • Use abbreviations and symbols .
  • Use an outline to show main ideas , support , examples .
  • Use you own language .

What is GPA , CGPA , iCGPA   ?



        



      .  Grade point average (GPA) is the grade that a student earns           in each semester.
      .  Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) is the overall grade a        student earns after divided by number of semesters.

      .  Integrated cumulative grade point average (iCGPA) is an                integrated mechanism of assessment, performance reporting        and student development that takes into account the increase      in manners, knowledge and their capabilities.
